Art – Clay – Protoform .IV
Collection .0
Stone bearer. River guardian, the echo of a sky once touched.
This upright form, crowned with a head, stand like a sentinel, rooted and alert. Its stucture recalls ancient balance : the improbable stacking of sones, weight defying logic, stillness defying time. The body is etched with memory, sunset yellow melting into orange, deep blue circling like the river of Hampi, fragments of ruins fading across its front.
It is not decorative, it is geological, emotional and spiritual.
Hand sculpted in clay, this form .IV is in resonance, drawn from Hampi. A place where nature holds architecture and silence holds stories.
Protoform .IV is a hybrid artifact, born of gesture and intention.
It is part of Collection .0, the first cycle of shifting forms, witness-objects of a material in transformation.
Protoform .IV
Where the Stones speak to the sky
Journal – Fragment .IV
This Protoform carries the warmth and wonder of a time in Hampi. A town of light, stones, river and silence in the south of India.
There, I saw rocks stacked in impossible ways, huge boulders resting delicately on small stones, balanced like offerings to gravity.
I often crossed the river on a narrow boat, between the two sides of the town. I stayed on the quieter bank, where everything breathed serenity. The sunsets were molten gold. The stones glowed. The ruins whispered.
One afternoon, after cycling between the temples, I climbed a high viewpoint where the whole landscape opened – stones rising, falling, balancing like memory itself. I felt tiny, awed, and deeply calm.
