Memory fragments Protoforms
Each shape is invented and born from a blurred memory, a visual impression, a gesture glimpsed somewhere, perhaps in an Indian market, where a man sits on the ground weighing pigments as one might weigh light.
Like the ochre walls in Varanasi, moss-covered pillars in Angkor, hands painting without models, guided only by the memory of the form they seek.
None of this is represented.
All of it is absorbed, digested, transformed.
Each object is slowly shaped, painted, adjusted.
Some remain raw. Others are adorned with color as if a placeโs memory had lingered longer on their surface.
