GREECE MEMORY OF PEACE, WHITE AND BLUE

Journal – Fragment .V

As a subtle tribute to light and harmony. A feeling experienced during a peaceful afternoon on the island of Corfu, Greece.

The natural softness of the sea breeze and the timeless beauty of the place. The inspiration comes from the striking contrast between the deep blue of the sky and the sea, and the brilliant white of the houses scattered across the island landscape.

This contrast of colors creates a luminous balance, a feeling of freshness, clarity, and calm that I wanted to translate into this work.

The surfaces capture and reflect the light in a way that recalls the radiance I carry in my memory. It is not simply the color white, but the luminosity that seemed to emanate from the walls beneath the sun.

The sky, the sea, the sun, winding roads through the mountains. A visit to Mount Pantokrator, rising above the island, offering a sense of space and allowing one to breathe. The natural elements coexist in peaceful harmony.

A memory made tangible becomes a silent pause in the flow of time.

This brief yet vivid memory is one of the fresh, radiant light of Corfu, a reminder of the simple and profound beauty of nature.
